  • Altitude sickness

    In this country, you can develop altitude sickness. It can happen when you stay at elevations above 2,500 metres.

  • Measles

    There is a higher risk that you will get measles in this country. Were you born after 1965, and have you never had measles? And have you never had a vaccination against measles? Get a vaccination against measles. Also vaccinate your children if they are older than 6 months and if they have not yet been vaccinated against Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR, or in Dutch: ‘BMR’) as part of the National Immunisation Programme .

  • Rabies

    Mammals in this country may have rabies. Avoid any contact with mammals. Before you travel to this country, ask an expert (doctor/nurse) at a travel vaccination centre if you need a vaccination against rabies.

  • Tuberculosis
